We drink and review a seasonal brew from Borderlands Brewing Company (Tucson, AZ) called German Chocolate Cake (7.3% ABV), which is a coconut chocolate porter with praline pecans. We also a helles lager called Ruekeller: Helles (5.2% ABV) brewed by The Bruery (Placentia, CA)

We drink & review a double New England-style India Pale ale called Systemic Chaos (8.5% ABV) from Moonraker Brewing Co. (Auburn, CA). We also drink and review another double New England-style India Pale ale, but this one is called Social Dist-Hazing (8.6%). It's brewed by Golden State Brewery (Santa Clara, CA).

Our first Beer Convo of the year is with @sode_kate. Greg talks with Kate about beer, breweries her baking talents, sports, her awesome IG account, and just exactly how to pronounce her IG account name.

We drink and review a double India Pale Ale called Big West * (9.2% ABV), which is a collaboration between La Cumbre Brewing Co.(Albuquerque, NM), Pizza Port Brewing Co. (Carlsbad, CA), & Modern Times Beer Co. (San Diego, CA). We also diner and review Sierra Nevada's (Chico, CA) Coffee Stout (6.2% ABV).

We discuss beer for hop-adverse people, set state of our local breweries, beer bars, & restaurants in light of the Covid-19 (aka Coronavirus), and ways the brewery industry is helping to "flatten the curve". We also discuss NFL free agency and if the season will even begin on time.

#271 - Goldwater's Zeus & Del Cielo's Mental Haze, ZZ Top Doc

We drink and review an imperial chocolate stout named Bear of Zeus (12.0% ABV), which was brewed by Goldwater Brewing Company (Scottsdale, AZ) in collaboration with Arizona Wilderness Brewing Company (Gilbert, AZ). We also drink and review a hazy pale ale brewed by Del Cielo Brewing Company (Martinez, CA) called Mental Haze (5.5% ABV).

We list some high proof bourbons that can double as sanitizer. We discuss Selzterland, which is a hard seltzer festival that is touring the nation this summer (maybe). Finally, we review the new Netflix documentary on that little band from Texas...ZZ Top.

#269 - Drekker's Ectogasm & Hen House's MK Ultra

We drink and review a New England-style India Pale Ale from Drekker Brewing Company (Fargo, ND) called Ectogasm (7% ABV). We also drink and review MK Ultra (6.9% ABV), which is a West Coast-style India Pale Ale brewed by Hen House Brewing Company (Petaluma, CA).

We discuss the shooting at the Molson Coors Factory in Milwaukee, WI and the subsequent cancellation of the Miller Lite Leap Year Promotion. We also talk about a bogus survey linking the Coronavirus and Corona Beer cancellation, and why you should just cancel Constellation Brand beers outright.

We drink and review Scarcity (11.0% ABV) brewed by Altamont Beerworks'  out of Livermore, CA). It's a triple India Pale Ale that's only brewed for SF Beer Week. We also drink and review a double New England-style India Pale Ale called King of the Thing (8.3% ABV) brewed by Drekker Brewing Company out of Fargo, ND.
