Stone's Wizrads & Gargoyles& Altamont's Hella Stoked. 2020 NFL Cöld Brüe Prevüe

Two collaboration beers! We drink and review the hazy coffee IPA collaboration called Wizards & Gargoyles (7% ABV) brewed by Stone Brewing (Escondido, CA) and Modern Times Beer (San Diego, CA). We also drink and review a double IPA brewed by Altamont Beer Works (Livermore, CA) in collaboration with HenHouse Brewing Company (Petaluma, CA) called Hella Stoked (8.2%).

We discuss Stone's goofy marketing scheme and Surly's response to their employees trying to unionize. Our Cöld Brüe List is the top ten movies by Mel Brooks. 

The second half of the show is all NFL football. First, Sorcerer Chromatic has is Coach's Corner segment wherein we discuss the teams with new head coaches this season. Then we predict what the standings will be at the end of the regular season.

We drink and review a west coast-style double IPA called You So Fine (8% ABV) brewed by Noble Ale Works (Anaheim, CA). We also drink and review an imperial chocolate milk stout with mint called MegaMint (9% ABV) brewed by Heathen Brewing (Vancouver, WA).

Greg talks with Rachel Beerkowski, current bartender at Bonehaus Brewing in Fountain Hills, AZ, and future beer historian at university or museum near you. They talk about the beer, music, sports, and history (kinda).

We drink and review an American IPA from Indie Brewing Company (Los Angeles, CA) called Find That Juicy Double (8% ABV). We also drink and review a Double IPA called Juicy(2) with and ABV at 8.2%. [The (2) is supposed to symbolize "squared".]

Short Throw's Lips And Lungs & Founders' Más Agave Grapefruit

We drink and review Lips And Lungs (8% ABV), a silky smooth DIPA brewed by Short Throw Brewing Company (North Haven, CT). We also drink and review Más Agave Grapefruit (9.7%), a fruit gose brewed by Founders Brewing Company (Grand Rapids, MI).

We drink and review a milkshake IPA with cherries & lime called Lucky Fedora (6.1% ABV) brewed by Simple Machine Brewing Company (Phoenix, AZ). We also drink and review a pastry stout called Fudge It! (9.5% ABV) brewed by Hermitage Brewing (San Jose, CA).

Mai Lager Buddies (AZ Collab) & Altamont Beer Works' Oat Dark Lager

We drink and review a maibock-style lager, a collaboration brewed by Throne Brewing, Simple Machine Brewing, Richter, Saddle Mountain Brewing, Transplant City Brewing, and Front Pourch Brewing called Mai Lager Buddies (7.7% ABV). We also drink and review a dark lager brewed by Altamont Beer Works (Livermore, CA) called Oat Dark Lager (5.8% ABV).

Goldwater's Black is Beautiful & Lengthwise's Zeus Imperial Ale

We drink and review Goldwater Brewing's (Scottsdale, AZ) Black Is Beautiful, an Imperial Stout (10% ABV) brewed with an open-source recipe from Weathered Souls Brewing (San Antonia, TX) and proceeds going to the NAACP. We also drink and review Zeus Imperial Ale (9.7% ABV, an Imperial India Pale Ale brewed by Lengthwise Brewing (Bakersfield, CA).

Celestial Beerworks' Andromeda & Altamont Beer Works' Freedom Fuel

We drink and review a double New England-style India Pale Ale called Andromeda (8% ABV) brewed by Celestial Beerworks (Dallas, TX). We also drink and review an India Pale Lager called Freedom Fuel (6% ABV) from Altamont Beer Works (Livermore, CA).

We talk about 10 breweries near national parks, Burger King Beer, Greg's dumb luck, and Netflix's Unsolved Mysteries reboot.
